A Fairway to Benefit your Community
Drive for Dignity is returning for their 4th annual golf outing at Mistwood Golf Course on Saturday June 4th, 2016.
Traverse City, Michigan, May 4, 2016– Play, sponsor, or volunteer for Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing’ at an 18 hole scramble June 4th at Mistwood Golf Course in Lake Ann. Players can get a taste of Traverse City’s local food and beverages along the course. A shotgun start will begin at 11am along with a silent auction, raffle items, goodie bags, and a day for golfers to benefit their community.
Featured vendors include, Oryana Natural Foods Market, Gabe’s Meat Market hot dogs, PopKies, Oleson’s Grocery store hamburgers, among much more! Prizes can be won through a silent auction and raffle. Some items consist of gift certificates to local restaurants, gift baskets from Yen Yoga & Fitness, Northern Latitudes Distillery, Nolan’s Tabacco and Cigar Bar, and VIP tickets to the Cherry Festival Air Show.
Drive for Dignity golf scramble will benefit NMSH in their efforts to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals and families with mental health needs in the five-county Grand Traverse Region. Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing is now housing roughly 80 tenants, and their family members. NMSH provides rental housing in addition to housing-based case management to increase each family’s likelihood of eventual independent living. This is just one event that is hosted by Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing every year for the community to participate in. All proceeds benefit individuals living in the Greater Grand Traverse Region.
